Taichung City is a city in central Taiwan and the third largest city in Taiwan, with a population of over 2.86 million. The city originally developed from several scattered aboriginal villages and was planned as the new capital of Taiwan Province in the late Qing Dynasty. During the Japanese colonial period, Taichung underwent modern urban planning and construction. Taichung has cultural institutions such as the National Museum of Natural Science, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the National Taichung Theater, the National Library of Public Information, the National Taiwan Comic Museum, and the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, as well as historical and cultural attractions such as Taichung Park, Lin Family Garden, and numerous temples.

Fengjia Night Market, also known as Fengjia Shopping Mall or Wenhua Night Market, is a famous night market in Xitun District, Taichung City, Taiwan. It is located next to Feng Chia University and is considered one of Taiwan's largest night markets. The history of the night market can be traced back to 1963, established with the rise of Feng Chia College of Business and Engineering (now Feng Chia University). Initially, the night market developed along Wenhua Road, later expanding to areas such as Fengjia Road, Fuxing Road, and Xi'an Street. In 2006, the Taichung City Economic Development Bureau established the Fengjia Shopping Mall Management Committee, bringing the night market under official management. In 2015, Fengjia Night Market was commended by the Ministry of Economic Affairs for its excellent management, visitor-friendliness, and sustainable development practices. It is renowned for its diverse snacks, merchandise, and lively atmosphere, making it an excellent place to experience Taiwanese night market culture.
